Every race the IEBC runs
One project, every ballot tier β each scoped to its own geography and reported on its own voting system.
| Race | Scope | Voting system |
|---|---|---|
| Presidential | Nationwide | Runoff (50% threshold)Majoritarian: lead candidate must clear 50% +1 AND at least 25% in 24 of 47 counties. Runoff if neither threshold is met. |
| Governor | County | First-past-the-post |
| Senator | County | First-past-the-post |
| Woman Rep | County | First-past-the-postReserved seat β one Woman Representative per county, elected by direct ballot. |
| MP | Constituency | First-past-the-postMember of the National Assembly; one per constituency. |
| MCA | Ward | First-past-the-postMember of County Assembly; one per ward. |
Election-system aware Decision Report
The voting system on each ballot decides the maths. The Decision Report reads which system applies and adapts β never one report stretched over every race.
- RUNOFF
- Runoff (50% threshold)
- FPTP
- First-past-the-post
Kenya runs six concurrent ballots on a single election day. All five legislative/county races are first-past-the-post per scope. The presidential race uses a two-part threshold (50% +1 nationally AND 25% in two-thirds of counties); the Decision Report flags whether the lead candidate satisfies both thresholds or lines up a runoff.
Country-specific capabilities
County-spread analytics that surface whether the presidential lead clears the 25%-in-24-counties threshold (the constitutional barrier most often missed).
